The eagerly awaited election for the Adhyaksha and Up-Adhyaksh/Up-Adhyaksha roles of the Zilla Parishad in North & Middle Andaman has been postponed. Originally scheduled for an earlier date, the election has been rescheduled due to administrative reasons.
According to the latest announcement, the election will now take place on May 13, 2024, commencing at 10:30 am. The venue for the election will be the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, situated in N&MA, Mayabunder.
Following the election, the newly elected officials will promptly assume their duties. An oath-taking ceremony has been slated for the same day at 3:00 pm. The oath will be administered to the freshly elected Adhyaksha and Up-Adhyaksh/Up-Adhyaksha in the Community Hall of Gram Panchayat Pokadera, located in Danapur.
