In a significant stride towards the Digital India Mission, the Electricity Department of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration is set to discontinue receiving payments for energy bills at Site Offices and Common Service Centres (CSC) across the entire South Andaman District. This initiative, marking the first phase of a broader transition, will take effect from August 1, 2024.
Consumers are encouraged to make their bill payments online through the Urja Pay portal at https://urjapay.andaman.go.in. For assistance with online payments, consumers can visit their respective Site Offices or contact the Central Control Room via the toll-free number 1800-345-1111.
This move is a crucial step towards achieving a 100% cashless bill payment system, aligning with the overarching goals of the Digital India Mission to promote digital transactions and enhance convenience for consumers.
