In a significant step towards the realization of the Digital India Mission and a 100% cashless bill payment system, the Electricity Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration announced it will cease the collection of energy bill payments at Site Offices and Common Service Centres (CSC) in the South Andaman District. This change will take effect from August 1, 2024.
Consumers are encouraged to make their bill payments online through the Urjapay portal at https://urjapay.andaman.gov.in. For assistance with online payments, consumers can visit their respective Site Offices or contact the Central Control Room at the toll-free number 1800-345-1111.
This move aligns with the broader goal of promoting digital transactions and enhancing convenience for residents in the South Andaman District.
