A delegation headed by Dr. Sunil Shukla, PhD (Psychology), Director General of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, during their visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to initiate the Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, called on Admiral D.K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor of A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency, at Lok Niwas on Thursday.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor urged the Director General’s office to establish a handicrafts promotion institute in the Islands, highlighting that the region possesses a diverse variety of GI-tagged products.
