The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, has announced that the Enumeration Phase of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll has been extended and will now conclude on December 18, 2025.

As part of the verification process at the polling station level, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have held meetings with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and shared lists of uncollectable Enumeration Forms for verification. In polling stations where recognized political parties have not appointed BLAs, the uncollectable lists have been displayed at the respective polling stations for public scrutiny.

The uncollectable list comprises names of electors marked under categories such as ‘death’, ‘untraceable/absent’, ‘permanently shifted’, ‘already enrolled’, and ‘others’. Details of BLO–BLA meetings, along with photographs and the uncollectable lists, have been made available on the CEO’s official website as well as on the websites of the respective District Administrations.

In addition, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) have also conducted meetings with representatives of recognized political parties and shared the uncollectable lists for verification.

The CEO has appealed to all political parties and electors to thoroughly verify the uncollectable lists. If any individual listed under the uncollectable category is found to be available or traceable, they have been urged to immediately contact the concerned BLO or visit the offices of the AEROs, EROs or District Election Officers (DEOs). Electors may also seek assistance by calling the Voter Helpline at 1950, on or before December 18, 2025, to ensure inclusion of their name in the Draft Electoral Roll.

The Draft Electoral Roll is scheduled to be published on December 23, 2025. Any person whose name does not appear in the draft roll may apply for inclusion by submitting Form-6 along with the mandatory declaration during the claims and objections period, which will be open from December 23, 2025 to January 22, 2026.
