Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the Excise Team under the supervision of Mr. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur, carried out a well-coordinated raid at Horry Bay, Mohanpur, leading to the seizure of a major consignment of illicit liquor.
The operation, executed with precision and swift action by team members PCs K. Ismail, Soma Dey, Sushen Das, and Subrata Biswas, resulted in the recovery of 59 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) — including 7 bottles of 750 ml and 52 bottles of 180 ml. The raid successfully disrupted a segment of the illegal bootlegging network active in the region.
This action reflects the North & Middle Andaman District Police’s sustained efforts to curb illicit trade and protect the community from its associated social harms.
Authorities have urged the public to share any credible information related to illegal activities or crimes with the nearest Police Station or through helpline numbers 100, 112, and 03192-273344. Police assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential and suitably rewarded.
