The Composite Regional Centre (CRC) of A&N Islands marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2024 by organizing a special excursion to Wandoor Beach for children with special needs (CwSN) and their families.

The event, themed ‘Special Children—Inclusivity and Joy’, was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mr. Aziz Ur Rahman, Councillor of Ward No. 6 and State President of the Atal Foundation A&N; Mr. Mohammed Shabbir Hussain, President of the Tourism Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands (TAAN); and Ms. Faridha Bibi, Secretary-cum-Director of Hope Foundation.

Focused on celebrating the diversity and abilities of special children, the event provided an uplifting environment of happiness and belonging, creating lasting memories for all involved. A variety of engaging activities were organised, encouraging interaction and participation.

The sponsors took time to personally engage with the children and their families, reaffirming their commitment to supporting initiatives that empower persons with disabilities and foster a more inclusive society.
