The Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Pahargaon, recently organized an expert guest lecture on “Open Channel Flow and Hydraulic Machines” under the subject Mechanics of Fluids for B.Tech (Civil Engineering) students.
The session was delivered by Mr. P. Umamaheshwara Rao, Environmental Engineer, Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC), Department of Science & Technology, and alumnus of IIT Delhi. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Altamash Mustafa, Assistant Professor (Civil Engineering), DBRAIT.
During the lecture, students gained valuable insights into the practical aspects of hydraulics and its applications in civil and environmental engineering. The interactive session helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practices, enriching the students’ technical understanding of the subject.
The initiative was undertaken under the guidance and motivation of Prof. Sanmukh Kaur, Principal, DBRAIT, who emphasized the importance of industry-oriented academic engagements for holistic learning. (Story Based on PR)
