The extended and renovated Community Hall at Tapu Basti under Stewartgunj Gram Panchayat was inaugurated by Dr. Apurva Sharma, Director (Rural Development/Panchayat), on November 8 in the presence of enthusiastic villagers and dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sharma lauded the joint efforts of the local administration and the community in completing the project, emphasizing that the upgraded facility will play a key role in fostering social harmony and promoting local cultural activities.

The inaugural function witnessed the presence of Zilla Parishad Members, Panchayat Samiti Members, engineering officials, and a large number of residents from the surrounding areas.

Constructed by the Panchayat Samiti, Ferrargunj, the hall fulfils a long-pending demand of the villagers for a spacious and well-equipped venue for social gatherings, cultural events, and public meetings. The project, completed at a total cost of ₹45.85 lakh, aims to provide a more functional and inclusive space for community engagement.

As per the arrangement, the maintenance and watch & ward of the hall will be managed by the Panchayat, while the revenue generated from its use will be shared between Stewartgunj Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti Ferrargunj in a 60:40 ratio, ensuring mutual benefit and sustainable operation of the facility.
