In response to a circulating document on social media titled “RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF SUB-INSPECTOR (FIRE) IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR POLICE, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS,” the Andaman and Nicobar Police have issued a stern clarification, denouncing the document as fraudulent and confirming that no such official press release has been issued by their department.
Unscrupulous elements on social media platforms had distributed a counterfeit recruitment press release in the name of Andaman & Nicobar Police, announcing result for the post of Sub-Inspector (Fire). The fake document had been causing confusion and concern among job seekers and the general public.
In a statement issued today, the Andaman & Nicobar Police categorically stated that the document is entirely false, and they have initiated strict legal action.
Andaman & Nicobar Police also urged the general public to rely solely on official information disseminated through authorised media and the official Andaman & Nicobar Police website.
The incident serves as a reminder of the growing threat of misinformation and fake news on social media platforms and the need for heightened vigilance in the digital age.
