Skill Development is a major focus area of the Central Government. Several programmes are being launched by the Central Govt. focused on skill development for the rural population. The Assistant Commissioner’s Office, Campbell Bay and the BDO Office, Campbell Bay have arranged a 10 Days Fashion Designing Workshop for the rural female SHG members of Great Nicobar Island.
The workshop will be conducted by Mr. Manish Tripathy a Renowned Celebrity Fashion Designer. Apart from imparting training to the rural women, the Celebrity Fashion Designer will also provide national and international level cloth designs to the rural women of Great Nicobar.
Dr. Nitin Shakya, Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay informed that the training will be organised in hybrid mode i.e. online as well as offline.
AC Office and BDO Office will provide logistical support to all the trainees.
Dr. Nitin Shakya also informed that they are even ready to provide a ready market for the products being produced by the Mini India SHGs.
