Police Station Diglipur is going tough against drug peddlers, the police is keeping a strict vigil over anti-social activities under its jurisdiction. On 6th of January 2023, reliable information was received that a lady is in possession of illicit ganja.
Raiding team headed by Inspr. Vikash Singh, SHO PS Diglipur trapped the lady. The lady is a resident of Madhupur and was trapped at Subashgram, Diglipur. 513 Grams of illicit ganja was recovered from her possession. A case under the appropriate section of the NDPS Act was registered. The dedication and hard work of the raiding team of PS Diglipur resulted in the seizure of the illicit ganja.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Lakshya Pandey, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur, and the overall direction and supervision of SP, North and Middle Andaman.
The district police is following a policy of zero tolerance towards any organised crime. The general public has been requested to pass and share any credible information about any crime or illegal activities to their nearest police station or over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. Police informed that the identity of the informers will be kept secret and the informers will also be suitably rewarded.
