Mr. Som Naidu, a retired DANICS officer and the designated resource person, inaugurated the training session. In his address, he emphasized the importance of adhering meticulously to the prescribed election procedures to ensure the seamless conduct of polls at the respective Polling Stations. Mr. Naidu took the opportunity to clarify various queries raised by the participants regarding procedures such as Postal Ballot, Test Vote, and Challenged Vote. He stressed the significance of commencing polling promptly at 7 am in all polling booths, underscoring the necessity for Polling Officials to arrive early to complete necessary formalities, including mock polls, for the smooth initiation of voting on Election Day.

Following the informative session, hands-on training sessions were conducted on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines by Master Trainers. These practical exercises aimed to familiarise the election personnel with the operation and handling of the essential voting equipment, ensuring their proficiency in managing these devices during the electoral process.
