Financial Support Sought for Treatment of 7-Year-Old Patient from Hope Town

Tarun Karthick

Sri Vijaya Puram, 05 February 2025

Ms. Yashika Rajan, a 7-year-old girl from Hope Town, is battling Spastic Quadriparesis, a severe form of cerebral palsy that affects all four limbs, as well as the trunk and face. The condition, caused by damage to the brain often due to birth injuries, lack of oxygen, infections, or genetic disorders, leaves the child with stiff, tight muscles, making movement difficult and uncontrollable.

Yashika’s parents, Tulsi Laxmi and Rajan, are unable to afford the necessary expenses for her treatment, despite her being referred for further medical care on the mainland under the Ayushman Scheme. The family is required to travel within the next two weeks, but they are struggling to cover the costs of conveyance, boarding, and lodging.

In response to this critical situation, Mrs. V.D. Leju, a prominent social worker and LG Commendation Awardee for her efforts in social work, is urging the community to lend their support. Donations, regardless of size, can be made directly to the family’s account or via UPI to ease the burden during this challenging time.

The donation details are as follows:

Account No.: 42810947027
