A fire accident was reported today from Govind Nagar Village of Swaraj Dweep. The incident was reported to Fire Station, Swaraj Dweep at 1:25 Pm. The team of Fire Station Swaraj Dweep under the supervision of Insp. Jagdish Verma reached the site of the incident immediately and successfully doused the fire within two minutes. The cooling process was also completed within 5 minutes.
The fire had reportedly started from a two wheeler repair and spare parts shop and had spread to the barber shop located next to it. Both the two wheeler repair shop and the barber shop was almost completely engulfed in fire.
The fire was controlled very well by the team of the Fire Service and the restaurant located beside the two shops sustained no damage. According to the initial estimates property worth Rs. 3.5 Lakhs was damaged in the fire accident. No loss of life or any injury was reported.
