Five-Day Peripatetic Training Programme on Pay Fixation, MACP & RTI Concludes in Sri Vijaya Puram

A five-day Peripatetic Training Programme on “Pay Fixation/MACP and RTI,” organised by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing (AR&Trg.) of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, New Delhi, concluded on 12th December 2025 at the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The training programme, held from 8th to 12th December 2025, was specially designed for officials of the Amalgamated Clerical Cadre of the A&N Administration. The initiative aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of pay fixation rules, the Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) scheme, and the provisions of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, thereby strengthening administrative efficiency and service delivery.

The valedictory session was presided over by Ms. Shailaja, Deputy Secretary (Home/Vigilance/Labour), A&N Administration, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest. In her address, she underscored the importance of continuous capacity building, upskilling of ministerial staff, and accurate application of service rules to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective governance.

The training sessions were conducted by specialised resource persons from ISTM, namely Mr. Vijay Kumar Keshari, Deputy Director, and Mr. Nafe Singh, Retired Deputy Director, who provided in-depth technical inputs and practical insights on the subjects covered during the programme.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ancy Alex, LGC, AR&Trg. Wing, A&N Administration, who expressed appreciation to the resource persons, organisers, and participants for the successful conduct of the training. (Story Based on PR)
