A week-long Fixed Day Family Planning Sterilisation Camp was conducted at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Rangat from December 1 to 6 under the RCH-II programme, providing comprehensive family planning services to residents of Rangat and Billiground.
The camp was organised with full arrangements for patient counselling, pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care. Senior specialists — Dr. M.K. Saha, Professor & HOD (Gynaecology), ANIIMS, and Dr. R. Narayanan, Professor & HOD (Anaesthesia), ANIIMS — were deputed from G.B. Pant Hospital to support the procedures.
Medical Officers, nursing staff, ANMs and Community Health Officers worked in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the camp. The initiative was held under the overall supervision of Dr. H.M. Siddaraju, Director (Health), Directorate of Health Services.
A total of 171 beneficiaries underwent sterilisation through the laparoscopy lap ligation procedure during the camp. (Story Based on PR)
