A new Centre under the Fit India Football For Schools (F4S) programme was inaugurated on November 4, 2025, at Girls Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram. The initiative, launched by the Deputy Education Office, South Andaman, aims to specially encourage girls to actively participate in sports and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Inaugurating the Football Coaching Centre, Mr. Vikram Singh, Director (Education & Sports), urged students to attend the sessions with dedication, discipline, and regularity. He also announced that girl students who participate consistently in the coaching classes will be gifted new football shoes on New Year’s Day as a token of appreciation for their commitment.
Highlighting the benefits of the programme, Mr. Singh said that football coaching not only enhances physical fitness but also nurtures teamwork, leadership, self-confidence, and discipline among students.
The F4S football coaching classes will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. under the supervision of trained physical education teachers, providing students an opportunity to learn and practice the sport in a structured and motivating environment. (Story Based on PR)
