In a significant development for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, former Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, extended his heartfelt congratulations to three officials of the A&N Administration following their promotion to the prestigious DANICS (Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Services) cadre. The officials—Mr. S. Raju, Mr. Santosh Prakash, and Mr. Muneer Ahmed—were promoted through an order dated 29th August 2024.
This promotion is seen as a remarkable achievement, marking a historic milestone for the Islands’ administration. Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma noted that it is the first time in 20 years that officers from the A&N Islands have been inducted into the DANICS, opening the door for more officials to aspire to such heights.
The former MP also emphasized the significance of Mr. Muneer Ahmed’s promotion, highlighting it as a positive step towards greater representation and equity within the administration. Mr. Ahmed’s inclusion, particularly as he is a member of the Nicobari community, is seen as a move that enhances the diversity of the administration and sets a precedent for future advancements.
