Foundation Day Celebrations Held with Enthusiasm at Raj Niwas for Several States and Union Territories

In a spirited celebration of cultural diversity and unity, the Foundation Day of multiple Indian states and Union Territories (UTs) was commemorated with fervour at Raj Niwas in Port Blair. The event, organised as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ initiative and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, brought together individuals from Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and UTs of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

Approximately 100 participants hailing from the aforementioned states and UTs gathered at Raj Niwas for the celebrations on November 1, 2023. The event was marked by a sense of camaraderie and an exchange of cultural experiences.

During the celebration, an extensive interaction and experience sharing session took place, providing a platform for attendees to gain insights into the rich traditions, art, and culture of different regions. This dialogue fostered a deeper understanding of the diversity that makes up the fabric of India.

The Foundation Day festivities came to a close with a delightful high tea, a group photograph capturing the shared moments, and the presentation of mementos to the invitees.

The participants expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and Raj Niwas in Port Blair for their commendable initiative, which not only celebrated the cultural tapestry of India but also provided a valuable opportunity for interaction and the exchange of ideas. The event stood as a testament to the spirit of unity in diversity that is a defining feature of India’s cultural landscape.
