Foundation Stone Laid for Installation of LED Flood Lights With Backup Power & Construction of Open Shed at Mithakhari Area

In a bid to bolster community activities and foster local talent, the Member of Parliament for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, spearheaded the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Installation of Flood Lights (LED) with backup storage and the construction of an open shed in the Mithakhari area of South Andaman.

This significant endeavour, estimated at a cost of Rs. 40,62,763, was sanctioned by the Member of Parliament following impassioned requests from area residents and youth. The primary objective behind this initiative is to facilitate the flourishing of sports and cultural endeavours within the region.

During the address to the gathered audience, the Member of Parliament emphasised the pivotal role the installed infrastructure could play in the progress of local talent. He urged the residents, particularly the youth, to leverage this asset once it’s completed. Sharma expressed his firm belief that with proper grounds and infrastructure, the youth of the islands possess the potential to excel at national and international levels in various arenas.
