The Directorate of Civil Aviation, Andaman and Nicobar Administration has decided to increase the frequency of helicopter services to various Islands w.e.f 4th of October 2021.
The new schedule will have 04 weekly services for Campbell Bay, 03 weekly services for Kamorta, Katchal and Teressa, 01 weekly flight for Chowra, 09 Flights for Car Nicobar every week. There will be 05 flights every week for Mayabunder, 04 flights every week for Diglipur and 01 flight every week for Rangat.
There will be 03 flights every week for Hutbay.
Residents of remote Islands had been demanding an increase in helicopter services for a long time and this decision of the Directorate of Civil Aviation will bring them some relief.
