Golden Opportunity for NGOs, Academic Institutions and Civil Society Organisations to Strengthen Grass Root Level Democracy

The Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, A & N Administration under Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India has invited applications/project proposals from Academic Institutions/ Civil Society Organisations (CSO) / NGOs (registered at NGO Darpan of NITI Aayog) to collaborate with Gram Panchayats of their choice and coordinate the entire process of preparing development plans for economic development and social justice as part of the People’s Plan Campaign launched from 2nd October 2022 to 31st January 2023.

The institutions/organisations can collaborate with the Gram Panchayats to strengthen the grass root level democracy, governance and improve accountability of Panchayats, PRIs and improve programme delivery and governance through mobilising community participation for the preparation of GPDP. The selected Institutions/Organisations will be sanctioned an amount of Rs.20,000/- per Gram Panchayat.

The interested academic Institutions/ Civil Society Organizations (CSO) / NGOs have been asked to apply in the prescribed format and submit their nomination to the Directorate of RD/PRIs and ULBs, Marine Hill, Port Blair latest by 05.12.2022 or email their nomination to dirpanch@gmail.com/sprcandaman@gmail.com.
