Governing Body of VKZPVs Holds Meeting to Discuss Key Initiatives and Projects

The Governing Body of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalayas (VKZPVs) in North and Middle Andaman convened on July 18, 2024, in the Conference Hall of the Zilla Parishad, Mayabunder. The meeting, chaired by Mrs. Elizabeth, Adhyaksha of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman, welcomed all members, and Mr.i Ashish Joon, CEO of Zilla Parishad, provided an overview of ongoing projects and initiatives.

Mr. Joon highlighted the procurement of sports items, the proposed repair and maintenance of three VKZPVs, and the ongoing repair project at VKV Kadamtala. The members engaged in a detailed discussion on executing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for VKZPVs. Key decisions were made regarding the fee structure, repair and renovation of school buildings, and the enhancement of extracurricular activities and sports programs.

The meeting also addressed the procurement of essential equipment such as generator sets, desks, benches, and inverters, many of which have already been implemented by the Zilla Parishad. Additionally, a proposal to introduce physical education as an additional subject for students in grades XI and XII was approved.

Other initiatives under consideration include the installation of firefighting equipment and the introduction of smart classes in VKZPVs. These efforts aim to provide a comprehensive and inclusive education system in VKV schools.

The Governing Body’s decisions reflect a commitment to enhancing the educational infrastructure and overall learning environment in VKZPVs, ensuring a well-rounded and safe educational experience for all students.
