The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands has announced that all government offices across the Union Territory, including industrial establishments, will remain closed on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The closure is in observance of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and is in line with the instructions issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, through Office Memorandum No. 12/4/2020-JCA2 dated March 27, 2025.
Dr. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a prominent social reformer, is commemorated nationwide for his contributions to the upliftment of marginalized communities and his enduring legacy in the realm of social justice.
