The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MoFAHD), Government of India, has extended the deadline for submission of comments and suggestions on its draft proposals concerning sustainable fisheries management.
The two draft proposals—Guidelines for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the High Seas by Indian-Flagged Fishing Vessels, 2025 and Proposal for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone of India Rules, 2025—were initially released for public consultation through notices dated July 31 and August 1, 2025.
The last date for stakeholders and the public to share their feedback has now been extended to September 15, 2025. Suggestions may be sent by email in MS-Word format to jsfy@nic.in.
