Grand Cultural Event Marks Andaman & Nicobar Police Raising Week in Diglipur

Diglipur witnessed a vibrant celebration of Police Raising Week with a grand cultural event held on January 21, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall. The evening saw enthusiastic participation from the community and showcased the exceptional talent of school students, who captivated the audience with their spirited performances.  

The event’s highlight was a series of patriotic songs and traditional dances presented by boys and girls from local schools. Their performances radiated pride, unity, and a deep appreciation for the region’s cultural heritage, leaving an indelible mark on attendees. The event not only celebrated the artistic creativity of the young participants but also strengthened the bond between the police force and the community, promoting harmony and mutual respect.  

An esteemed panel of dignitaries graced the occasion, including Mr. Ankur, DIG, Coast Guard; Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, SP (D) N&MA; Mr. S. Kamaleshwar Rao, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur; Mr. Vaibhav Sunderiar, Commanding Officer, INS Koshassa; and Mr. Siva Shakthi B., IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Diglipur. Each guest lauded the efforts of the students and organizers in fostering a spirit of patriotism and cultural pride.  

The Police Department expressed gratitude to all participants and the community for making the event a resounding success. They also reiterated their commitment to ensuring public safety and called on citizens to report any credible information about crimes or illegal activities.
