A group of 18 IAS Probationers from the 2024 batch of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, is currently on a Winter Study Tour to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As part of their itinerary, the probationers called on Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, at Raj Niwas today.
The study tour, commonly known as the Bharat Darshan, is an integral part of the training programme for IAS probationers. It provides them with practical exposure to the administrative, socio-economic, and cultural diversity of the country. The probationers visit different states and Union Territories to understand governance challenges and best practices across various regions.
