Humour echoed through the air at the ITF Ground as mainland Hasya poets showcased their witty compositions, captivating the audience with laughter during the Hasya Kavi Sammelan. Organized by the Department of Official Language, A&N Administration, as part of the ongoing Island Tourism Festival-2023, the event was a vibrant celebration of satire and wit.
Under the adept moderation of renowned Poet Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Asthana, the Kavi Sammelan saw a lineup of talented poets enchanting the gathering. Mr. Hemant Pandey, Dr. Praveen Shukla, Mr. Dinesh Raghuvanshi, and Dr. Sonrupa Vishal were among the literary maestros who presented an array of humorous poems, each tinted with its unique essence, eliciting bursts of laughter from the audience.
Beyond eliciting laughter, the poets used their verses as a means to pay homage to the valiant freedom fighters while painting these Islands as more than just a geographical location, but rather a place of pilgrimage.
