Health and Drug Awareness Programme Conducted at GMSS School Kamorta

A Health and Drug Awareness Programme was conducted recently at GMSS School, Kamorta, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre (CHC) Nancowry and Nancowry Police Station. The initiative aimed to educate school children on crucial issues related to health, personal safety, and the dangers of drug abuse.

Dr. Clementine, General Duty Medical Officer, and Dr. Shabnam Salim, Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) from CHC Nancowry, led informative sessions on topics including personal hygiene, general health awareness, and understanding the concept of good touch and bad touch.

Sub-Inspector Rahil Islam from Nancowry Police Station addressed the students on the serious consequences of drug use and substance abuse, highlighting its adverse effects on young lives and the community.

The programme was marked by enthusiastic participation from the students, who listened attentively and expressed their gratitude for the valuable insights and guidance provided.
