Health and Wellness Programme Organized for Senior Citizens at Guptapara

As part of the ongoing initiatives under the Atal Vayo Abhuday Yojna, the Directorate of Social Welfare, in coordination with the Brahma Kumaris, organized a Basic Health and Wellness Programme for senior citizens at Basanti Puja Hall in Guptapara Panchayat.

The programme aimed to promote healthy and active ageing by educating participants on key aspects of physical wellness, mental health, and stress management. Sister Sharmistha from the Brahma Kumaris delivered an insightful session on mental well-being, highlighting that maintaining good mental health is a continuous process that requires attention to one’s emotional, psychological, and social health.

The event also featured a yoga and meditation session led by Sister Sharmistha, which provided the attendees with practical techniques to improve their overall well-being.

The initiative was well-received by the local senior citizens, who actively participated and appreciated the efforts made to support their health and wellness.
