On 12th December 2022, Health Meals were conducted at various Health and Wellness Centres throughout Car Nicobar Island. The theme of Health Mela was ‘Universal Health Coverage for All’.
The Health Mela at Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) Kinyuka was organised by CHO Mrs. Deepika Victoria, at HWC Mus by CHO Mrs. Sakrika, at HWC Arong by ANM (In-Charge) Mrs. Sabiha, at HWC Sawai by CHO Mrs. Lakshmi, at HWC Teetop by CHO Mrs. Tapati , at HWC Kakana by CHO Mrs. Sushila and at HWC Big Lapathi by Mrs. Kishori.
During the Health Mela, all Health and Wellness Centres in Car Nicobar conducted screening of Diabetes and Hypertension in patients. The screening was also conducted for other Non-Communicable Diseases. ABHA IDs were also created for the villagers during the health camp.
Yoga demonstration was organised by the Yoga Instructor.
The entire programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Johnson Sameer, Nodal Officer (NPCDCS)/DPHO.
