As part of the ongoing Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA), a comprehensive health screening and awareness camp was organized on Wednesday at Priyadarshini Hall, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar. The programme was jointly conducted by the District Health Society, Nicobar District, and BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, graced the occasion and reviewed the ongoing activities at the camp. He urged community members to actively participate in the initiative and avail themselves of the free health screening services. Emphasizing community well-being, the MP also appealed to the public to report any drug-related issues in their localities to the concerned authorities for timely intervention.
The event was also attended by Mr. Amit Kale, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District; Mr. Rahul L Nair, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District; Dr. Grace, Medical Superintendent, BJR Hospital; along with senior officers from various departments.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents across Car Nicobar, including village captains, health officials, and community members, reflecting the collective commitment towards strengthening healthcare and raising awareness under the SNSPA initiative.
