In a significant step towards improving access to quality healthcare in rural areas, Health4U Multispeciality Clinic, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), successfully conducted free health camps at the Community Health Centres (CHC) in Rangat and Diglipur.
The camps drew a strong response from the local communities, with more than 400 individuals availing of free medical consultations and health services. The initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap in remote regions of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where access to specialist care is often limited.
Specialist doctors including Dr. Nilesh Patil, General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Dr. Irfan Ahmed Niwas, ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon, offered their expertise during the camps. Their involvement enabled residents to benefit from advanced diagnostics and specialist consultations close to home.
The health camps offered comprehensive check-ups, medical advice, and guidance across a range of ailments, with a focus on early diagnosis and preventive care.
“We are committed to extending quality healthcare to every corner of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Such outreach camps not only build trust but also raise awareness about health and wellness in rural communities,” said Dr. Kunal Roy, Managing Director of Health4U Multispeciality Clinic.
Officials from the Directorate of Health Services praised the collaborative effort and expressed their intention to continue such initiatives in other remote areas in the near future.
This joint effort underscores a growing commitment to making healthcare more accessible, equitable, and community-focused across the Islands.
