Historic Milestone: Solomon Samuel Becomes First from Nicobari Tribal Community to be Promoted to DySP in A & N Police

Andaman and Nicobar Police Department proudly announced the promotion of Mr. Solomon Samuel to the esteemed position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP). This significant achievement marks a historic moment, as Mr. Solomon Samuel becomes the first DySP of the A&N Police from the Nicobari tribal community to assume this role.

The promotion was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), UT Division, Government of India (GOI). The Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, along with other senior officers of the A&N Police, commended Mr. Solomon Samuel for his exemplary service and dedication.

In his remarks, DGP Srivastva stated, “Mr. Solomon Samuel’s promotion is not only a personal achievement but also an inspiration for the Nicobari tribal youths aspiring to join the A&N Police. His commitment to upholding the law and serving the community sets a high standard for all officers.”

Mr. Solomon Samuel expressed his gratitude for the support and opportunities provided by the Andaman and Nicobar Police Department. He pledged to continue serving with integrity and to uphold the values of the police force.

This promotion underscores the department’s ongoing efforts to foster diversity and inclusion within its ranks and to recognise the contributions of officers from all communities.
