Hon’ble Lt. Governor Directs to Formulate Time-Bound Action Plan to Accomplish Filling Up of Vacant Posts on Mission Mode

Thousands of Government Job Aspirants have been preparing day and night for years to be able to secure a job in Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Several thousand posts in Andaman and Nicobar Administration are lying vacant for years without recruitment causing hardship for the aspirants who have made it a goal in life to secure a Govt. Job.

On 14th June 2022, the Central Govt. announced that PM Narendra Modi has directed the recruitment of 10 Lakh people is to be done by the Govt. on Mission Mode within the next 1.5 years. 

After the direction of the Prime Minister, Andaman and Nicobar Administration called for applications from eligible candidates for recruitment for a few hundred Group C and Group B (Non-Gazetted) Posts in various departments.

The Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 13th October 2022, reviewed the status of vacancies in Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with senior officers of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Andaman and Nicobar Police and Department of Environment and Forests at Raj Nivas. The Lt. Governor also directed  to formulate Time-Bound Action Plan to accomplish the filling up of vacant posts on mission mode.

Nicobar Times has also accessed a document which states that the Hon’ble Lt. Governor had directed all Administrative Secretaries to bring out a detailed action plan during today’s presentation for filling up of all vacant posts by 31/10/2023.

The same document also states that a monthly progress report will also have to be presented by the respective Secretaries on the Second Thursday of every month at Raj Nivas.

The renewed commitment of the Administration to fill up the vacant posts by 31/10/2023 is very good news for the Govt. Job Aspirants of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
