HumaneTouch, in association with Bageecha and with the support of former Municipal Councillor Mr. Sanjay Meshack, organised a ClotheShare programme at Bageecha, Libra Cottage, Brichgunj Chowk, Prothrapur, on December 28, 2025. The initiative benefitted more than 100 underprivileged families from nearby areas.
The programme, held on Sunday morning, aimed at providing free clothing to families in need, allowing beneficiaries to choose garments according to their requirements and preferences, thereby promoting dignity and inclusivity.
Mr. Denis Giles, Chief Editor of Andaman Chronicle and Patron of Bageecha, actively participated in the distribution along with Mr. Sanjay Meshack and a team of volunteers from the locality. Their involvement ensured smooth conduct of the programme, which witnessed a steady turnout of beneficiaries since the early hours.
Representing HumaneTouch, Mr. Shafique, Vice President, and Mr. M.K. Naseef, Secretary, along with executive committee members, coordinated the arrangements and interacted with the beneficiaries. They highlighted that the ClotheShare initiative forms part of HumaneTouch’s ongoing efforts to extend compassion and practical assistance to communities across the Islands by redistributing usable clothing to those in need.
HumaneTouch expressed gratitude to Mr. Denis Giles, Mr. Sanjay Meshack and all volunteers for their support and cooperation in making the programme a success.
