HumaneTouch organised a ClotheShare drive at Gadda Toli, Brindaban Gram Panchayat, on Sunday, reaffirming its focus on community welfare and social support. The programme encouraged residents to donate usable clothing to underprivileged families.
In his welcome address, C. Khalid, Executive Member of HumaneTouch, outlined the objective of the initiative and urged people to cultivate a culture of empathy by sharing resources with those in need.
Shafique, Vice President of HumaneTouch, highlighted various welfare activities being carried out by the organisation across the islands. He noted that such programmes not only provide essential material support but also help strengthen community bonds through collective participation.
Zainudeen, Member of the Gram Panchayat, praised HumaneTouch for its sustained grassroots work and described the drive as a timely initiative benefiting the poor. He said the effort reflected a sense of shared responsibility within society.
The organisation also extended special thanks to Zilla Parishad Member Mr. V. K. Abdul Aziz for his continued support in facilitating the programme.
Local residents turned up in good numbers to donate and collect clothes, underscoring the message that small acts of sharing can foster compassion and inclusivity at the community level.
