IAS Officer Aman Gupta Transferred to Andamans is 90% Blind & 100% Outstanding; He is an Inspiration for Many

Mr. Aman Gupta, a 2013 Batch IAS Officer of AGMUT Cadre has been transferred from Delhi to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mr. Aman Gupta was diagnosed with juvenile macular degeneration (macular dystrophy) in 2002 and has lost 90% of his vision.

Although Mr. Gupta is 90% blind, but his work is 100% outstanding. Mr. Aman Gupta is known for finalising the recruitment rules in South Delhi Municipal Corporation that were pending for over 30 years. It was due to the hard work of Mr. Aman Gupta that hundreds of employees of South Delhi Municipal Corporation earned their promotions. 

Mr. Aman Gupta is an IIM Graduate, with a B.Tech Degree. He had attempted the UPSC examinations in 2012 but couldn’t get through. Mr. Aman Gupta prepared for the UPSC examinations using audiobooks. Mr. Gupta secured 57th All India Rank in the general category in 2013.

Mr. Aman uses a stand-mounted American video magnifier to read. It is said that the IAS Officer never piles up his work for the next day even though it is 200% more time-consuming for him.

  1. We require officer take decision & execute it , IIM fellow must be having bright vision , with present CS hope he will do some solid work for islands
