A one-day workshop on the “Application and Management of e-Office and e-HRMS Systems in Official Language Hindi” was successfully organized by ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI) at its Dr. T. R. Dutta Conference Hall, Sri Vijaya Puram, on Tuesday.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Eaknath Bhanudasrao Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI. In his address, Dr. Chakurkar underscored the significance of adopting Hindi in official and administrative communications and encouraged staff to maximize its usage in day-to-day operations.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Mr. Alex Praveen Barla, In-Charge of the Hindi Cell, who outlined the objectives and importance of the session. A comprehensive presentation, including a live demonstration, was delivered by Mr. Kanishk Bhukar, Administrative Officer, focusing on practical aspects of managing e-Office and e-HRMS systems using Hindi.
Around 85 participants — including scientists, technical personnel, administrative staff, and support staff — attended the session and actively engaged in the proceedings.
Following the technical workshop, an awareness program was conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI). A team led by Mr. Bidesh Das, Branch Manager of SBI Garacharma, gave a detailed presentation on the Central Government Salary Package (CGSP), along with valuable insights on investment opportunities and cyber security awareness.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Teena. The event was coordinated by Mr. Alex Praveen Barla under the overall guidance of the Director, ICAR-CIARI.
