Illegal Padauk Timber Seized by CID Unit from Teylarabad, One Apprehended

In a targeted operation guided by specific intelligence, the CID Unit comprising Inspector S. Kannan, Addl. SHO PS CCS & Inspector Narcotics, SI Vinit Kr. Maurya, along with Constables Arti Kumari, Ratan Das, and Vishal Kumar, made a significant breakthrough. Acting on reliable information, the team apprehended P. Sasi Kumar, son of Late S. Pitchai from Teylarabad, in possession of an illegal stash of sawn padauk timber on December 19.

The seizure included 20 pieces of padauk timber in various sizes, totalling 0.640 cubic meters, found within Kumar’s premises. Following proper procedures, the timber was confiscated, and Kumar was detained by the authorities.

Promptly handing over both the detained individual and the seized contraband to the Forest Department officials at Garacharma Range, the CID Unit ensured swift action would be taken in accordance with legal protocols.
