The Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman, is organizing the Inter-School Badminton Knockout Tournament for Under-17 and Under-14 boys and girls of the South Andaman Educational Zone at the Multipurpose Hall.
On September 9, matches for the Under-17 Girls category were conducted. In the singles semifinals, Y. Lakshya of SSS St. Mary’s, Bhatubasti, defeated S. Elakiya of GSSS Garacharma, while Anjani Naik of GSSS Girls won against Anugrahit Tirkey of GDMS (SS) School.
In the doubles semifinals, Arushi Minj and Trinity of GDMS (SS) secured victory over P. Ankita and CH Pavitra of GSSS Model. In the second semifinal, the pair of Y. Lakshya and Anushka Kumari from SSS St. Mary’s, Bhatubasti, defeated R. Abhinaya and Meghna Bonda of SSS Ummat Public School.
The finals of all matches are scheduled to be played on September 12 from 8:30 a.m. onwards.
