The Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman organised the Inter-School Kho Kho Knockout Tournament for the South Andaman Educational Zone, witnessing spirited participation and intense competition among young athletes.
In the U-17 (Boys) final, Government Secondary School (GSS) South Point emerged victorious, defeating SSS Kamaraj English Medium School with a score of 10–05. Meanwhile, in the U-17 (Girls) category, Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Girls clinched the title by defeating SSS Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir 12–06.
Mr. D. Pushparajan, Vice-Principal, GSSS Bhatubasti, graced the event as the chief guest, while Mr. Jagat Rao, Retired Physical Education Teacher, was the guest of honour. The dignitaries presented medals, certificates, and trophies to the winners and runners-up, appreciating the students’ sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
The tournament successfully fostered a spirit of teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among the young participants of the South Andaman Educational Zone.
