The Inter-School Football Knockout Tournament for Under-17 Boys (2026), organised by the Deputy Education Office, South Andaman, is being organised at the GSSS Bhatubasti Ground in connection with the forthcoming 65th edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament.
On Wednesday, the tournament witnessed spirited competition, with students from across the South Andaman Zone showcasing determination, skill and strong team spirit before an enthusiastic gathering of spectators.
In the Under-17 boys’ matches, GSSS Manglutan edged past GDMS (S) with a 2-1 victory in a tie-breaker. GSSS RBV registered a convincing 3-0 win over GSS Delanipur, while GSS Junglighat secured a narrow 1-0 victory against MGIS. In another match, SSS Nirmala defeated GSS Calicut by 2-0 goals.
The tournament forms part of the selection process for participation in the prestigious Subroto Cup, one of the premier inter-school football competitions in the country.
