The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T) celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with great enthusiasm, highlighting the theme ‘She Builds BHARAT’ to recognize the vital role of women in nation-building.
A special function was organized at Teal House, where Mr. Azharuddin Zahiruddin Quazi, IAS, Director of IP&T, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event commenced with a ceremonial cake-cutting, with a large number of women participating in the celebration. The day aimed to honour the contributions of women across various spheres—national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, and political.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Quazi acknowledged the significant role of women in different fields and their invaluable contributions to the progress of the nation. To mark the occasion, IP&T organized a series of engaging activities, including a musical chair competition, passing the ball, and an Antakshari contest. Women participants enthusiastically took part in these events, and winners were felicitated with prizes.
The celebration served as a tribute to the achievements of women and reinforced their role in shaping the nation’s future.
