Bringing pride to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, SAI residential trainees Ms. Sneha Toppo and Ms. P. Alagammal have secured a bronze medal at the 8th Inter-State Challenger Rowing and 45th Junior National Rowing Championship held at Upper Lake, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The championship, hosted from November 26 to 30, 2025, witnessed competitive participation from across the country. The duo clinched the bronze medal in the Women’s Coxless Pair (CW2-) finals on November 30 with an impressive timing of 08:55.5, demonstrating exceptional endurance, teamwork, and technical skill.
Officials from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) STC Sri Vijaya Puram congratulated the athletes, stating that the achievement reflects their dedication, rigorous training, and the committed guidance of their coaches.
SAI also acknowledged the continuous support extended by the Rowing Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in promoting and encouraging rowing talent in the region.
