Isles Water Sports Team Excels at 10th All India Inter SAI Canoeing & Kayaking Championship

The Sports Authority of India (SAI), STC Sri Vijaya Puram, has applauded the outstanding performance of its Water Sports team from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at the 10th All India Inter SAI Canoeing & Kayaking Championship 2025–26, held from October 6 to 9, 2025, at SAI NCOE, Alleppey, Kerala.

Under the guidance of Mr. Karma Toppo, Assistant Coach (Kayaking & Canoeing), the athletes of SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram demonstrated remarkable skill, teamwork, and determination, securing a total of 36 medals, including 23 Silver and 13 Bronze.

Rishika Kumari Ekka led the team with five medals, winning three Silver and two Bronze. Sabnam Xalxo earned one Silver and two Bronze medals, while Ankita Kerketta also claimed one Silver and two Bronze. P. Sasikiran added four medals to the tally, with one Silver and three Bronze. S. Yuvraj won one Bronze medal, and Rahit Das secured one Silver. Ashwin Minj and Ritik Kumar each won one Silver medal, as did K. Jagan. Nikhil Kumar Ekka achieved three medals, consisting of two Silver and one Bronze. Tanmay Mazumder, Elish Kerketta, Sailor Yoshu, and Mannat Manaf each claimed two Silver medals. Rose Lilly and D. Rakshita won one Silver each, and S. Nandini earned two Bronze medals. P. Kriti Kumari Rao rounded off the list with one Silver medal.

The SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram expressed immense pride in the athletes’ performance, praising their dedication and hard work. The achievement underscores the growing prominence of water sports in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and inspires young athletes to strive for excellence on the national stage.
