Jawahar Bal Manch, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Ms. S. Sita Laxmi, organised Makar Sankranti and Pongal celebrations at Ward No. 14 recently, featuring cultural programmes and a drawing competition for children. The event aimed to promote cultural values, unity and creativity among young participants.
The programme was attended by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, City Congress President Mr. Mohd. Zubair, Youth Congress Vice-President Mr. M. A. Sajid, and Block Congress President (South Block) Mr. P. B. Murugan, who interacted with the children and appreciated the efforts of Jawahar Bal Manch in fostering cultural awareness and community bonding.
Children enthusiastically took part in the cultural performances and drawing competition, showcasing their talents and creativity. Prizes were distributed to the winners to encourage and motivate the participants. The celebration concluded on a cheerful note, highlighting the spirit of togetherness and cultural harmony.
