Sources have informed that JIO will soon launch its 5G Mobile services in Port Blair. Some JIO users have shared screenshots of the 5G speed during testing of their mobile network.
The screenshots have shown the download speed to be upwards of 600 Mbps on the JIO 5G Network.
Airtel had earlier launched its 5G mobile network in Port Blair city.
At present JIO has its presence only on the main Island of South Andaman, whereas Airtel has its presence in all three districts of the Islands.
JIO is also expanding its network to both North and Middle Andaman and Nicobar District and will launch their services in the remote Islands soon.
Airtel also offers broadband internet connections in Port Blair, whereas JIO has not yet launched its broadband internet services in the Islands.
