In a significant breakthrough, a joint team comprising officers from PS Central Crime Station (PS CCS) and the Narcotics Cell of the CID Unit apprehended an individual involved in illegal drug activities and seized a substantial quantity of marijuana. The operation, led by Inspector Vishal Ram of PS CCS and Inspector S. Kannan of the Narcotics Cell, took place on October 4, 2023.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd. Shabib, a 34-year-old resident of Chandini Chowk, Shadipur. The arrest and seizure of narcotics came following credible information received by law enforcement.
During the operation, the joint team successfully confiscated 2.095 kilograms of ganja from the possession of Mohd. Shabib. The seized contraband is believed to have been transported through postal services, as revealed during the course of the investigation.
A case has been registered against Mohd. Shabib under relevant sections of the law, and he was promptly produced before the court.
The entire operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Mr. Vinay Mathur, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Narcotics).
